Nectar of midlife

A sacred year of nourishment, devotion, vitality and becoming.

In Ayurveda, there is a beautiful understanding that joy, beauty, connection and vitality are not luxuries. They are nourishment.

Yet many women arrive in midlife feeling depleted. They have spent years caring for others, meeting responsibilities, building families, businesses and lives. Along the way, they have often become disconnected from the very things that replenish them.

Nectar of Midlife was born from a different perspective. One that honours this season not as something to meerly survive, but as an invitation to restore what has been depleted, reconnect with what truly nourishes you and cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself.

A season of gathering wisdom, of softening into what matters and of becoming the woman you were always growing towards.

You were never meant to simply survive midlife. You were meant to flourish within it.

Nectar of Midlife is an intimate year-long journey for women who are ready to stop piecing it all together alone and begin creating a life that feels deeply nourishing, meaningful and wholly their own.

Together we'll support your body through the transition of midlife while rebuilding self-trust, cultivating vitality, reconnecting with joy and creating daily rituals that honour the woman you are becoming.

This is a space for women stepping into their matriarchal years. Women who are ready to care for themselves with the same devotion they have so freely offered everyone else, and who sense that this season of life is not asking them to become less, but inviting them to become more fully themselves.

For many women, midlife arrives at one of the busiest times of life.

There are still children to raise, businesses to run, careers to navigate and families to care for. Many women are supporting ageing parents while also showing up for teenagers, young adults or grandchildren. The demands of modern life rarely ease in the way we were once led to believe they might. Somewhere amongst all of that, you may have lost yourself.

You become so accustomed to being the one everyone relies on that your own needs slip to the bottom of the list. You push through the exhaustion, dismiss the anxiety and tell yourself you'll slow down when life becomes less busy.

Then the body begins asking for something different. Sleep becomes elusive, your energy less predictable, your nervous system more sensitive. The strategies that carried you through your twenties and thirties no longer seem to work, leaving you wondering what has changed and why you no longer feel like yourself.

Perhaps you've been told it's perimenopause and to just deal with it. Perhaps you've left appointments feeling unheard, or found yourself piecing together advice from books, podcasts and social media, searching for answers that never quite seem to fit.

You can feel something within you unravelling, but perhaps what is really happening is that the woman you've spent decades being is making space for the woman you're here to become.

Because midlife isn't asking you to become less.

It's asking you to become more fully yourself. To question the expectations you've carried for so long, stop apologising for taking up space, and choose your wellbeing with the same devotion you've always offered everyone else.

The second half of your life is where you stop living by default and begin living by design. It's where you reclaim your vitality, trust yourself more deeply, and create a life that reflects who you truly are.

this season asks Us...

to become more discerning with our energy. More intentional with our time.

More willing to listen to the signals of the body rather than push past them.

I know you're not looking for more information...

You long for guidance.

For perspective.

For self-trust.

And while there is no shortage of information available, many women are left trying to piece together advice from podcasts, books, social media and well-meaning experts, all while navigating the very real demands of everyday life.

What you'll find here is practical wisdom that honours both the realities of modern womanhood and the deeper changes unfolding beneath the surface.

Because midlife is about far more than managing symptoms.

It is about learning how to live well in this season and meeting the woman you are becoming with curiosity, compassion and care.

A Sacred Year of Nourishment, Creativity & Joy

Imagine looking back twelve months from now and recognising a woman who trusts herself again.

Imagine looking back twelve months from now and recognising a woman who trusts herself again.

A woman who understands her body instead of feeling at war with it.

A woman who no longer apologises for taking up space, asking for what she needs or choosing what nourishes her.

A woman who has rediscovered creativity, joy and a sense of adventure.

A woman who has stopped waiting for "one day" and has finally begun writing the book, planting the garden, starting the business, booking the trip, learning the instrument or saying yes to the dreams that have quietly waited for her attention.

A woman who feels deeply connected to herself, supported by a circle of like-hearted women and excited by what lies ahead.

This is the quiet transformation of Nectar of Midlife.

You finally give yourself permission to become the woman you've always been.

The Heart of This Year Long Experience...

The seed for Nectar of Midlife was planted on a bus in northern India. I was travelling with some extraordinary women on pilgrimage, winding our way through sacred places, vibrant cities and ancient landscapes that have called seekers home for thousands of years. As I looked around the bus each day, I was struck by the diversity of women gathered there. Different ages, backgrounds, stories and seasons. Yet beneath those differences, there was a common thread.

Again and again, conversations returned to questions of meaning, purpose, wellbeing and what it means to navigate change with grace. What I witnessed was not a group of women looking for quick fixes. They were seeking something deeper.

Connection.

Wisdom.

Perspective.

A way of understanding the changes unfolding within them that honoured both the realities of modern life and the deeper callings of the spirit-soul.

So between the temples, early morning chai runs, the laughs and chats over meals, an idea began to emerge.

What if there was a space created specifically for women in this season of life?

The more I sat with this idea, the clearer it became that what women were craving was a space where they could meet this season with curiosity, play even.

A space to explore the physical, emotional and spiritual changes unfolding within them, while feeling supported, understood and gently guided along the way.

A space to reconnect with joy, vitality, beauty and the parts of themselves that may have been waiting beneath the busyness of everyday life.

Because while every woman's experience is unique, what I see again and again is a longing for something more personal. Something practical. Something that honours both the realities of modern life and the wisdom that can emerge through this season.

In Ayurveda, there is a beautiful concept known as Soma.

Soma is often described as the subtle nectar of life. It is associated with nourishment, vitality, contentment, beauty, creativity and joy.

When soma is abundant, we feel more resilient. More connected to ourselves. More able to meet life's challenges without becoming depleted by them.

Modern life asks a great deal of women.

Many of us are caring for children, building businesses, supporting partners, navigating careers and holding families together, all while moving through one of the most significant transitions of our lives.

It is no wonder so many women arrive in midlife feeling exhausted.

Nectar of Midlife was created as a response to that exhaustion. A year dedicated to replenishing what has been depleted.

A year of restoring vitality, reconnecting with joy and cultivating the sweetness that ayurveda teaches is essential for a well-lived life.

That is the heart of Nectar of Midlife.

I'm Edwina

A few years ago, my husband and I made the decision to stop waiting for "one day" to begin creating the life we had always imagined. We moved off-grid to 300 acres on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, where we're building our dream home, growing food, tending gardens and embracing a slower, more intentional way of living.

In my fifties I've learned to surf, ride horses, continued leading women on sacred pilgrimages through India, and found myself saying yes to adventures I once thought belonged to another chapter of life. Looking back, I realise I wasn't simply making lifestyle changes. I was following Soma.

In the yogic and ayurvedic traditions, Soma is the nectar of life—the experiences, rituals and moments that leave us feeling deeply nourished, deeply connected and profoundly alive.

That is the heart of my work.

I believe midlife isn't asking us to become less. It's inviting us to become more fully ourselves. To stop endlessly fixing and start listening. To honour our changing bodies, trust our intuition, embrace our wisdom and create lives that reflect what truly matters.

I'm a yoga teacher, ayurvedic guide, mama of two wild-hearted boys, and founder of Marigold, where I help women discover the nectar of midlife.

I'm in my fifties (and yes, what a privilege it is to say that), and I've spent more than twenty years studying and living the wisdom of yoga and ayurveda. Not simply as philosophies to learn, but as practices to be lived every single day.

These teachings have carried me through early motherhood, burnout, building businesses, creative reinvention and now the beautiful initiation of midlife. They continue to remind me that the sweetest life isn't found by striving for more, but by choosing what truly nourishes us.

Through Marigold, I weave together yoga, ayurveda, ritual, creativity and practical wisdom to help women reconnect with themselves and fall in love with this extraordinary season of life.

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me making chai at sunrise, tending my garden, fixing fences, by the ocean, or riding horses.

Because I believe the second half of life can be the richest yet.

I'm here for women who are ready to love midlife, not simply survive it.

I'm so glad you've found your way here.

Moving Through the Seasons Together

Nature has always understood something that modern life often forgets.

There is a time for growth and a time for rest.
A time for expansion and a time for reflection.
A time for gathering in and a time for beginning again.

Over twelve months, we'll move gently through the seasons together, using them as a guide for our own inner landscape.

In some seasons, you'll be invited to cultivate vitality, creativity and joy. In others, we'll slow down and explore rest, nourishment and what it means to let go of what is no longer needed.

Rather than rushing towards an outcome, we'll learn to work with the natural rhythms of life and the wisdom of the body. One season at a time. With practices, teachings and conversations designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Caring for the Whole Woman

Midlife isn't just a physical experience. It touches the body, of course, but it also touches our energy, our emotions, our relationships, our sense of purpose and the way we see ourselves. This is why so many women find themselves searching for answers and still feeling as though something is missing.

Because they are trying to understand a whole-life transition through a single lens.

One of the teachings that has shaped my work most deeply comes from the Vedic and yogic traditions, where the human experience is understood through different layers known as the koshas.

While the language is ancient, the wisdom feels remarkably relevant for modern women. It reminds us that we are more than a body. Our physical health, energy, emotions, inner wisdom and capacity for joy are deeply interconnected, each influencing the others in ways we often overlook.

Throughout our year together, we'll use this wisdom as a gentle guide, exploring these different layers of ourselves with curiosity and compassion. Not just focusing on how you feel physically, but on how you want to live, what nourishes you, what depletes you and what this season might be inviting you towards.

The Physical Body

Nourishment & Vitality

Our bodies change throughout midlife and often begin asking for a different kind of care. Together, we'll explore how to support your body through the wisdom of ayurveda, nourishing food, movement, rest and simple daily rituals that restore vitality and create sustainable energy.

How can I care for this body with reverence rather than criticism?

The Energy Body

Life Force & Capacity

This layer is about more than avoiding burnout. It's about reconnecting with the things that make you feel alive. Through breath, boundaries, creativity, adventure and practices that restore your life force, we'll explore what it means to expand your capacity while honouring your energy.

What makes me feel alive again?

The Emotional Body

Identity & Becoming

Midlife often invites us to re-examine who we are beneath the roles we've carried for so long. Together, we'll create space for the emotions, transitions, relationships and shifts in identity that naturally arise during this season, meeting them with honesty, compassion and curiosity.

Who am I becoming beneath the roles I've carried?

The Wisdom Body

Discernment & Inner Knowing

There comes a point when more information is no longer what we need. This layer is about learning to trust yourself. Through reflection, devotion, ritual and self-inquiry, we'll cultivate a deeper connection to your intuition, values and inner wisdom.

Can I trust the wisdom within me?

Sacred Practices

Nectar, Joy & Sacred Living

In Ayurveda, joy is considered a form of nourishment. This layer explores the sweetness of life through beauty, creativity, connection, nature, pleasure and everyday moments of wonder. Not happiness as something to chase, but the quiet contentment that arises when we are deeply nourished.

What would it mean to truly savour my life?

I don't have any experience with yoga or Ayurveda. Can I still join?

Absolutely. You don't need any previous experience. Everything is taught in a simple, accessible and supportive way, allowing you to explore these beautiful traditions at your own pace.

What if I can't attend the live gatherings?

Life is full, and I understand that. All live teachings and circles will be recorded, so you can enjoy them whenever it suits you. You'll also have ongoing access to our private community and WhatsApp support, so you'll always feel connected, even if you can't join live.

How much time will I need each week?

Nectar has been designed to fit into real life. There is no expectation that you'll do everything. I encourage you to move at your own pace, taking what you need from each season. Even setting aside an hour or two each week can create meaningful shifts over the course of the year.

Is this a course I need to complete?

No. Nectar is not about keeping up or ticking off lessons.

It's a year of gentle guidance, practice and support. Rather than rushing through content, you'll be invited to slow down, integrate what resonates and create rituals that naturally become part of your everyday life.

What kind of support will I receive?

Throughout the year, you'll be supported in several ways, including our monthly live circles, a private online community and direct WhatsApp access to me for personal guidance and encouragement between gatherings. My intention is that you feel genuinely supported throughout your journey.

What if I'm already taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or working with other practitioners?

Nectar works beautifully alongside the support you're already receiving. This is not about replacing medical care. Instead, we'll explore how yoga, Ayurveda, seasonal living and simple daily practices can complement your existing approach and help you feel more connected, nourished and empowered.

How long will I have access?

Your enrolment includes twelve months of access to the complete Nectar experience, including all seasonal teachings, practices and community support throughout the year.

What if I'm not in perimenopause yet?

You're very welcome. Many women begin feeling called to slow down, reconnect with themselves and live more intentionally before menopause begins. The practices and wisdom shared inside Nectar are relevant throughout the broader midlife years and beyond.

Why is this only offered once a year?

Nectar is designed as a shared seasonal journey. We'll move through the year together as one cohort, creating a rich sense of connection, accountability and community. Opening the doors once a year allows us to begin, grow and celebrate each season together.
